Two-scale numerical simulation of acoustic transmission in interaction with flow
Original language description
The numerical solution of the acoustic transmission on perforated interface interacting with flow consists of two steps in each of which subproblems defined on a microscopic periodic unit cell and in a macroscopic waveguide are solved. The first step involves calculation of the potential flow that is treated in a similar way to the subsequent acoustic problem. The homogenized acoustic coefficients and acoustic pressure distribution in the macroscopic waveguide are calculated in the second step for the known flow velocity. The two-scale problems are solved numerically in Sfepy which is a Python-based package for multiscale and multiphysics finite element simulations.
