Genetic approach to data dependent triangulations
Original language description
This paper shows possibilities and results of the use of genetic approach to optimize data dependent triangulations. The goal is to obtain a triangulation of the given point set which provides visually appealing terrains for directional data and which achieves low mean errors in linear interpolation. No points are allowed to be added to or to be removed from the given point set.
