Numerical solution of axisymmetric models of the steam turbine control valves at off-design conditions
Original language description
The contribution deals with CFD computations of control valves for steam turbines of large output at off-design conditions. A relatively simple geometric model was created and the CFD system FLUENT was used for flow solving. Three shapes of the cone weretested with three different boundary conditions settings. Flow structure in the valve at high pressure gradients was investigated. The paper summarises the experiences with solving of flow at various conditions and shows the most interesting computed flow field.
