Biomechanical model of abdominal organs and tissues for car crash tests purposes
Original language description
The work concerns development and validation of rigid and deformable models of organs and tissues of the male abdomen. While the rigid variant contains all major organs and tissues, the deformable one is focused only to the abdominal part. The rigid bodybsed model is validated in the sled test environment and the results are successfully compared to the experimental data. The deformable model is validated for lateral impacts by successful comparison to experimental data. Further, it contains the computational package development for fluid flow simulation using meshless method. The method called Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics is suitable for tasks with considerable motion of both fluid and boundary (human body). The algorithm with graphical user interface is validated for the shock-tube and broken dam problems. Comparison for impact simulations to finite element method is provided.
