<<A>> contribution to the problem of species-area relationship: one species on an infinite plane
Original language description
The relationship between the number of species and the area sampled is one of the oldest and best documented patterns in community ecology. A species-area relationship (SAR) describes the dependence of the number of species found in a censused patch of habitat on the area of that patch. In this paper we propose a new approach to the explanation of scale dependence of species-area relationship. The method is based on randomly distributed points over an infinite plane.
