Vickers Indentation Fracture Toughness of HVOF Sprayed WC-based coatings
Original language description
The Vickers indentation fracture toughness of HVOF sprayed WC-12%Co and WC-17%Co coatings was evaluated in dependence on used load. Three different equations for KIC value vas used and their results compared. It was shown, that while usually used equations for both Radial-median and Palmqvist crack modes are strongly dependent on used load, the equation for intermediate cracking mode incorporating the Mayer index, is load-independent and enable the comparison of results.
