Musculoskeletal model of a shoulder complex
Original language description
The main aim of this work is to introduce a musculoskeletal computer model of a human shoulder complex. The model is primarily used for movement analysis, for determination of muscle and joint forces, etc. The model is implemented in the AnyBody ModelingSystem. The shoulder model comprises all bones and joints of the shoulder complex and a detailed muscle representation comprising individually activated fascicles. Bones are considered as rigid segments. Muscles are defined as strings having the real muscle properties. Muscles wrap around wrapping surfaces emulating the bone contours. The model is used for ergonomic optimization of tools, workplaces, man/machine interfaces, etc.
