Musculoskeletal shoulder model driven by motion capture data
Original language description
The aim of the work is to evaluate the performance of the shoulder model implemented in the software AnyBody Modeling System (AnyBody Technology A/S). Kinematic data of the healthy shoulder complex was recorded in Motion Capture Laboratory. The motion capture system Qualisys and high-visible skin markers were used. The markers were stick on the thorax, the arm, the forearm and the hand. The locations of the bony landmarks respect the standards of International Society of Biomechanics (ISB). The man wastasked to perform defined anatomical motions (such as forward flexion, abduction, etc.) as well as some Activities of Daily Living (such as combing, swimming, etc.). The motion data was recorded and afterwards input to shoulder musculoskeletal model available within the open repository of the software AnyBody Modeling System. Using this model the glenohumeral (GH) joint reaction forces were calculated. The GH loads generated during GH abduction to an angle 45, 90, 150 degrees and forward
