Original language description
In the last year of this conference we have introduced a 1D mathematical model of the oil extraction process in a continuous screw press, which was describing the oil extraction process at pressures above the oil point. In the present theory it is incorporated also the initial stage of the screw press, called as the feeding part, which is characteristic for the initial intensive compression of the oil-seeds. In contrast to the classical theory of extruders, this model required extension for compressibility of the processed material. This enhanced model is capable of modelling the complete screw compression process, predicts the pressure field, the volumetric flow or the energy demand in each stage of the press.
