Virthuman Model Safety in NON-Common Seating configurations of Autonomous Vehicles
Original language description
Passengers of the next generation of autonomous vehicles have an opportunity to select their seat configurations for having better contact with others. Passengers’ safety in autonomous vehicles interior for three seating configurations is discussed by using a sledge test method and application of Virthuman models in PAM-CRASH environment. Symmetric seats’ position and boundary conditions are chosen to reduce the number of simulation tests to five crash scenarios per seating type. In consequence Bodies’ segments, injury criteria assessment is done for Virthuman models by using a script embedded in the software.
