Original language description
Transmission electron microscopy of extraction carbon replicas of 54SiCr6 steel alloyed with copper was performed after heat treatment and after heat treatment combined with plastic deformation. The study was focused on assessing the effect of deformation on precipitation. Cementite particles were sporadically present in the tempered martensite, and more or less equiaxed aluminum nitrides were dispersed over the entire area of the replicas, or and titanium. Several types of fine transition carbides have been identified by selective electron diffraction. The difference between the samples without deformation with deformation was in the morphology of martensite and in the density of precipitates precipitated. The deformation led to a refinement of the structure and to more intense precipitation.
