X-ray phase analysis was performed on two zirconium alloy samples, ZIRLO W and E110M. The purpose of this work wasto verify the phases present on the surface of zirconium alloy tubes used as fuel packaging for nuclear reactors. Byperforming the analysis, all corrosion phases ZrO2, ZrO3, ZrO4 as well as Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 were detected due to thepresence of iron in the base material. A Panalytical X'Pert Pro powder diffractometer was used to perform themeasurements and an Anton PAAR 1100 chamber was used for the high-temperature experiment.Performing Raman spectroscopy measurements of zirconium alloys ZIRLO W and E110M. The purpose of the work was tofind and confirm the oxide phases of ZrO, with emphasis on confirming or excluding the presence of the tetragonal phaseof ZrO2 oxide.
