Language Of The Colours In The Second Foreign Language Teaching: French, Russian As The Second Foreign Language In The Czech School.
Original language description
The aim of this analysis is to demonstrate the possibility of using colour symbolism in the second foreign language teaching in the Czech middle and high school. In our study, we analyse and compare the meaning of the words of the colours in Czech, French, and Russian phrasemes and idioms. We used such basic colours as white, black, red, yellow, green, and blue (light blue). In the end of the article we offer some examples of the exercises that can help students to reach a more profound understanding ofthe words with the colour meaning, and their usage in the languages.
