Possible risks in the Romany child development
Original language description
The target of the article was to describe the childhood of Romany children in context of the primary family function, which is considered in the first part. A further target (considered in the second part) is to define potential risk factors in the childdevelopment resulting just from the family envionment, which is specific in Romany communities, particularly in terms of the widely extended social exclusion. The article is based on data accumulated within the framework of the research examination project implemented under field conditions, named "The quality of life, avarage and healthy life span in terms of determinants of the health in Romany inhabitants in the Czcech Republic and Slovak Republic" (GAČR, No. 403/07/0336), where the authors participated as co-investigators and interviewers.
