Original language description
The majority of the population sees death as a taboo. Specifically than in relation to the children it is viewed as an event, which should not disturb the fragile world of children. We wondered what the situation in the Roma minority, which is culturallydifferent not only in the concept of death, but also the status of the child in the family (Urban, Kajanová, 2010) and his upbringing, when this is taken as a "little adult" and routinely participate in discussions and activities of adults (Davidová, 2004). Death is in Roma communities, more than in contemporary Czech majority, associated with the customs and magical elements. Death and mourning are one of the most important events in the life of the Roma and their cultural characteristics and specifics as it has one of the few Roma traditions persist to the present (Urban, Lídlová, 2011). Theoretical bases for the preparation of this research topic was the Roma culture and understanding of death and dying by children in different age
