Original language description
Contact centers in small towns generally note the difference between the number of substance users using their services and the estimated number of clients in relation to the size of the local drug scene. The article asks the question, what are the reasons that discourage people using addictive substances from using the services of the Contact Center in a small town. The aim of the paper is to map the factors influencing the motivation of substance users to use the services of the Contact Center in a small town. The research part of the diploma thesis was processed through a qualitative research strategy. This was realized using the method of questioning, specifically the technique of semi-structured interview. Data analysis was evaluated by a method with elements of grounded theory. The research group consisted of six communication partners from the ranks of drug users, who are either not and have never been in direct contact with the Contact Center service or use its services, but only sporadically. The research showed that the factors in deciding whether a user uses the services of the Contact Center or not vary from individual to individual, as well as location from location to location. Therefore, a unified theory cannot be created. Yet there are common denominators - mistrust, fear and ignorance. However, this is an area that the staff of the Contact Centers can work with and to some extent influence it, at least that's how the respondents perceive it directly. On the other hand, there is also an area that goes beyond the powers and possibilities of the staff of the Contact Centers, which lies in the internal setting of individual users of addictive substances. Unfortunately, this is a fact that workers have to come to terms with and accept.
