Le fondateur de la vicaire observante de Boh?me fut, en 1452, Jean Capistran, vicaire général de la congrégation cismontaine. Curieusement, un utraquiste fit beaucoup pour la fondation des premiers couvents franciscains en Boh?me, en l´occurence le roi lu-m?me, Georges de Podiebrad. En encourageant l´Observance franciscaine, qui par son ascétisme était proche de l´éthique de la réforme bohémienne, le roi Georges se protéaget de l´accusation d´hérésie.
