The article outlines the life and thought of the extravagant aristocrat Franz Joseph Thun who is well known as the patron of W.A. Mozart. In his times he was famous for his spiritualist pursuits and public healing sessions in which he applied the animalmagnetism. In our article I am discussing the content of the manuscript encyclopedia he wrote in the last years of his life. This work had been unknown before I discovered it in 2009 the Thun Archives in Děčín. Thun's encyclopedia is based mysticism andesotericism.
