Original language description

The collections in the Kozel chateau involve a section of the former archaeological collection from the castle museum. One of the items is a metal helmet of the Stromovka–Gnezdovo–Bojná type, probably from the 9th–10th century. No further information or documentation regarding the find has been preserved, which also applies to the rest of the objects from Kozel. This article seeks to compare the helmet with analogies and to disclose the circumstances which might have led to its finding, as well as its following history.
