The author of this study deals with the problem of relationship between thinking in the area of the analytic philosophy and literary theory /criticism/. According the author opinion works of Quine, Austin, Davidson and Searle - although their works touch literature marginally -bring a lot of impulses for the thinking in the area of literature (for example: literature as institution, literary work as a volume of speech acts).
