Original language description
Seasonal nature of fertility results in Holstein Cattle and Bohemian Spotted Cattle was observed in herd of dairy cows bred in submouintain region. A.I. index increased in both breeds in summer period - from June to August (2,65 up to 2,13 in H and 2,73up to 2,59 in BSC). The hight values of service period were founded in Holstein Cattle in January, May and June (163, 175 and 160 days) and in Bohemian Spotted Cattle in April, June and August (134, 153 and 140 days). The shortest service period was in Hin September, November and December (142, 109 and 122 days) and in BSC in January, February, March and May (101, 107, 107 and 92 days). Prolongation of between-calving intervals in summer period is more expressive in Bohemian Spotted Cattle in compare with Holstein Cattle even if absolute values are on the same level.
