Alkaline phosphatase and its activitsy in blood plasma during the cattle pregnancy
Original language description
The aim of the project was to certify the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in blood plasma of cows. During the period of two years four sets of blood samples from the organic and conventional stock in a different stage of pregnancy were collected. The blood plasma was obtained by centrifugation blood samples for 10 min at 1500 rpm. For the assessment of ALP (mikrokat.l-1) activity in blood plasma, Bio-La-Tests (Lachema Brno) and Specol spectrophotometer (Carl Zeiss, Jena) were used. There were found statiscally significant differences in ALP activity between stocks A and B (P<0.05). In stock A, statistically significant differences were found between animals in the second 140 days of gestation and non-pregnant animals (<0.01), and animals after calving. Differences between stocks A and B in animals in the second 140 days of gestation were also found (P<0.05).
