INFLUENCE OF SERVING ELECTROLYZED WATER ON SELECTED BLOOD PARAMETERS OF CALVES
Original language description
Two almost identical groups of calves, each comprising ten animals, were investigated in the on-going experiment. One group was experimental and was given a solution of electrolyzed water and the other was control. Electrolyzed water was produced in a patent-protected Envirolyte facility. Stabile electrochemically activated water solution with increased disinfectant effect was produced by an anode fraction. This solution was added to water for drinking. Blood samples were taken from the monitored calvesregularly and selected blood parameters were evaluated. No significant differences were found between the experimental and control group of calves. Serving electrolytically treated water did not have any negative impact on the health of calves. The average values were in the range of reference values given by R e e c e (5), S o v a et al. (6), U l r i c h von B o c k und P o l a c h (7), V r z g u l a et al. (8) and corresponded to generally relevant physiological processes in young ani
