Original language description
This study evidences new data on the diet and prey selection of a Peregrine Falcon female wintering in an urban environment in the town of České Budějovice during the winters 2013–2014 and 2014–2015. At least 58 prey items of 18 species were determined from the food remains collected at the perching site. The observed individual preyed mainly on Feral Pigeons and Black-headed Gulls. Additionally waders, water birds and other bird species were found in its diet as well. Although our data come from a very limited sample, they represent new information on the foraging ecology of Peregrine Falcon in the non-breeding season in the Czech Republic
