Czech Republic: teaching religion versus religious plurality - a closed circle?
Original language description
The article shows the sociolinguistic view of religionist plurality in the Czech republic to the international scientific community. It describes the procedure of the Czech part of the international research: "Teaching religion in a multicultural European society" and analyses its results for the Czech Republic. It concludes that the research has shown the possible risky development of the religious education in the Czech Republic. The teachers are oriented to a mono - religious way of education. They often show signs of first religious simplicity and uncertainty towards other religions. The education doesn´t respect the religious plurality in the country and it can lead to pupil´s fundamental approaches.
