The Cardinal Virtues as a Way to the Theological Virtues and Vice Versa

  • Original language description

The paper will focus on the relationship between the cardinal and the theological virtues in both directions. It will examine especially the texts of the Summa theologiae, Commentary on the Sentences and the Disputed Questions on the Virtues. This relationshipcan be considered not only from the point of the natural virtues towards the supernatural ones. An interesting question also considers the support of the theological virtues in strengthening the cardinal virtues acquired by natural human effort.
