Aquinas on Sensitive Appetitive Powers and Suárez's Reductionism in De anima
Original language description
First, the author presents Aquinas's theory of sensory appetitive powers, namely the tenet of the concupiscible and irascible powers. Second, Suárez's reduction of these two faculties is presented. It is claimed that this reduction is one of the exemplifications of the reductionist approach in Suárez's Commentary on Aristotle's De anima.
