Original language description
This paper briefly summarizes the academic discussion concerning the notion of man as “incarnate spirit”, in contrast to the notion of man as “rational animal”, in some of the works of St. Thomas Aquinas. Albeit not providing the full scope of such a discussion, and only briefly touching upon the problematic philosophical implications of such a notion, this paper aims at providing a theological perspective, showing the pursuit of this topic to be a worthwhile endeavour.
