Original language description
Plants of Lythrum salicaria and Phragmitwes australis were cultivated in a parallel outdoor tub experiment. Basic plant morphometric growth characteristics were related to origin of respective plant population across the European geographical gradient. Plants of both species originated from more southern locations flowered later and grew taller and more vigourously in comparisson to the plants originating from more northern locations.

Czech description
U rostlin Lythrum salicaria a Phragmites australis byly ve venkovním nádobovém experimentu sledovány morfometrické charakteristiky. Tyto charakteristiky pak byly vztaženy k místu původu populace s ohledem na zeměpisnou šířku. Rostliny z jižních zeměpisných šířek kvetly později a narostly větší v porovnání s rostlinami pocházejícími ze severnějších zeměpisných šířek.
