Ionic Liquid-Based Nano-Materials for Drug Delivery
Original language description
Room temperature ionic liquids (RTIL) which are known as ionic liquids are a group of salts with a melting point below 100 °C. Ionic liquids due to their specific properties such as very low vapor pressure, high thermal stability, low-melting temperature, and good electrochemical stability and solubility in some molecular solvents and water make them to be a good potential as green solvents. Also other properties such as non-flammability and good conductivity make them suitable for use in various areas, e.g., electro-conductivity, organic synthesis, electrochemistry, analytical, and most importantly biochemistry [1]. The stability of many ionic liquids in water and molecular solvents makes them a good candidate to dissolve many inorganic and organic chemical compounds which can be used for many industries such as pharmaceutical industries. Also ionic liquids can be used in organic synthesis as they can influence the transition state of many chemical and biochemical...
