Polyaniline/BaTiO3/MoS2 Hybrid Nanocomposites for High-Frequency EMI Shielding Applications

  • Original language description

The Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness for PANI/BaTiO3/MoS2 hybrid nanocomposites was assessed in the X-band. A foundational composite of PANI with 10 wt % BaTiO3 (PB) demonstrated a shielding effectiveness (SE) of similar to 21 dB at a thickness of 1 mm. Adding 10 wt % MoS2 (PBM-1) increased SE to similar to 30 dB. Increasing thickness to 1.5 mm (PBM-2) and 2.5 mm (PBM-3) further improved SE to similar to 37 and similar to 45 dB, respectively. Dielectric analysis showed strong interfacial polarization and high dielectric loss around 11.5 GHz. Power coefficient data confirmed absorption-dominated shielding with low transmission and high absorption. The combination of MoS2 and BaTiO3 in a PANI matrix, along with optimized thickness, significantly enhances EMI shielding, making the composites suitable for high-frequency applications.
