On sign constant and monotone solution of secondorder linear functional differential equations
Original language description
In this paper, the question on the existence and uniqueness of a constant sign solution of the initial value problem u´´ (t) = l (u)(t) + q(t), u(a) = c1, u´(a) = c2 is studied. More precisely, the nonimprovable effective sufficient conditions for a linear operator l Î C ([a,b];R) # L ([a,b];R) are established guaranteeing that the considered problem with q Î L ([a,b];R) and c1, c2 Î R has a unique solution and this solution is nonnegative. The question on the existence and uniqueness of a monotone solution of the same problem is discussed, as well.
