The chapter brings results of a qualitative survey which was focused on unmarried cohabitation, that refers to the case when at least one child was born. There is briefly defined family, unamarried cohabitation and the current status of this issue. Afterintroducing the methodology of the research are presented its partial results. First the trajectory of unmarried cohabitation emerged from the qualitative survey is given and further typology of unmarried couples with children is presented. The main part of this chapter is the choice of cohabitation with children, motivation unmarried partners for life outside the marriage, in a broader social context. The impact of low religiosity has been mentioned, attitudes of public and of the original family, thesocial system and the media. The results are illustrated with quotations from the interviews.
