The paper deals with the concept of wisdom in the works of two significant Czech thinkers – J. A. Comenius and T. G. Masaryk. In particular, it focuses on the relationship of widom to humanity and democracy. Both Masaryk´s and in Comenius´thought, humanenness is concrete expression conceptualised as a relational category.
