Original language description
To assess whether increasing the volume of production is effective from the economic point of view is one of the frequent issues of evaluating economy of production. The degrees of cost efficiency provide some basic knowledge on this issue. Degrees of cost efficiency show different qualitative development tendencies issued from the dependence between the volume of production and the costs. These tendencies influence the essential changes in the dynamics of the profitability ratio, the volume of loss (profit) and the volume of production. Degrees of cost efficiency can be used to assess the efficiency of cost development for either the whole enterprise, its individual organization sections as well as for the individual departments (sectors).

Czech description
Jednou z častých otázek hodnocení hospodárnosti výroby je posoudit, zda zvyšování objemu produkce je ekonomicky efektivní. Základní znalosti o tom poskytují stupně efektivnosti nákladů. Stupně efektivnosti nákladů vyjadřují kvalitativně rozdílné vývojovétendence vycházející ze závislosti mezi objemem produkce a náklady. Tyto tendence ovlivňují zásadní změny v dynamice míry rentability, objemu zisku (ztráty) a objemu produkce. Stupně efektivnosti nákladů lze používat k hodnocení efektivnosti vývoje nákladů jak za celý podnik, jeho organizační útvary, tak i za jednotlivá odvětví (výkony).
