Statistic methods of multidimensional scaling used for com-petitiveness comparison
Original language description
The paper is concerned with an analysis of the competitiveness and economy efficiency of the Cental-European economies ? the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia before and in the first years of their membership in the EU. We can manifest on the basis of multidimensional scaling methods how in-creased is the competitiveness and the development potential of each economy in comparison with the others. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the efficiency of Czech economy and the position of the CR among five most powerful partners' economies of new member states of the EU. Hypothesis for this objective is a fol-lowing statement ? the Czech Republic has the highest potential to become the most powerful EU member in central Europe. Toassess the efficiency of Czech economy and the position of the Czech Republic among other countries exactly, adequate sta-tistic methods of multidimensional scaling might be used. These methods are ap-plied for interstate comparisons. Th
