Original language description
The paper focuses on the analysis of the long-term development of population in the Czech Republic at the level of municipalities. The district of Benešov was chosen as an example district for the analysis. The objective of the analysis is on one hand the verification of the general regularities of evelopment in the population distribution at the level of municipalities and on the other hand, the identification of the main local differences in the dynamics of population development and its concentration. The connections between the population concentration and the local economic development have been also taken into consideration.
