This paper shows the situation , namelly at 2 universities in České Budějovice, in the financial literacy of young population. The knowledge of students were evaluated with the help of questionnaire and statistical methods. This survey was made as the starting base for the next one in the next academic year, when students, educated in the new educational system of the Strategy of Ministry of education,youth and sports of the Czech Republic, will arrive to the Czech universities. There were 286 students[286] in the set of respondents.
