Performance of road freight transport enterprises during economic recession

Original language description

This paper aims to evaluate the performance of enterprises, with their main business activities in the field of road freight transport during the years from 2008 to 2012. The issue is solved on the sample of 775 small businesses in Czech Republic. Duringthe mentioned period the number of legal entities active in road freight transport is increasing, the opposite trend is observed as for the volume of goods transported via national road freight transport. Return on assets is used as the indicator for measuring the performance.
