The paradigm of the work of helping professions in the dimension of economic theory
Original language description
The financial appraisal of workers in the careers (social workers and social service staff) is often not consistent with the average wage in the Czech Republic. In this context, we can point to the "degradation" of the work of assisting professions from the very beginning of the independent economic theory from the system of social sciences to the beginning of the industrial society. The creators of its "degradation" are both liberal and Marxist. On the other hand, from the modern trend of liberal thinking of the second half of the 20th century, point to the reality of its importance in the creation and development of human and social capital. This is also confirmed by the accelerating trend of investing in human resources in developed market economies. An integral part of these investment processes is also the activities of helping professions.
