Influence of Farm Size on Economic Results
Original language description
The paper aims to evaluate the economic situation of Czech farms and their development in the period 2014 – 2017. The analysis is based on the database Albertina. Farms were sorted by size. The profitability of agricultural holdings is low with frequent fluctuations caused by the dependence of the profit/loss on external conditions. The effect of the size of the farms on profitability is not apparent. The impact of farm size on the volume of subsidies per hectare is not obvious. However, given the higher production intensity of larger farms, there is an indirect proportion that, with increasing size, the share of subsidies in total revenues declines.
