  • Original language description

: At the time of the beginning of the era of Industry 4.0 accompanied by the aging of the population, it is necessary to create a strategy of sustainable development in the context of social and environmental goals. Various forms of integration of these goals can be found in the world, also, for example, in the context of the Millennium Development Goals announced by the UN. The circular economy makes a significant contribution to their fulfillment, especially with regard to environmental sustainability. In connection with the prognostic outlook for the aging of the population, it represents a potential, for example, for the employment of people with disabilities. The interest in connecting the circular and social economies lies in the effort to ensure the employment of people, especially before retirement age, people with difficulties in adapting to innovations in digital technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence. In fulfilling these objectives, it is appropriate to apply the principle of subsidiarity, which means assigning a decision-making position to the regions.
