In the literature focused on information technology, services provided in the form of cloud computing arereferred to as a possible solution for the efficient acquisition of the latest technologies for use in society. At the same time,services provided via cloud computing should be positively perceived by their customers in terms of costs.The presented paper deals with the preparatory phase of research, focused on decision-making processes taking place inthe company in the selection of solutions for a specific type of software provided as a service in the form of cloud computing. This paper describes the proposed TOE model in order to identify the primary factors that influence the decisionmaking of companies in the segment of small and medium-sized enterprises.
