Community forestry-based enterprises play crucial roles in generating employment opportunities andalleviating poverty in Nepal. However, these roles are often not encouraged due to their subsistent nature,scattered existence, and scale of operation. Nevertheless, their contribution is significant, forcing policymakersand academics to consider community forestry-based enterprises as a vehicle for economic development at thelocal level. In this study, we conducted a resource assessment of non-timber forest products in nine communityforests in Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality. Based on the findings and interactions with the concernedstakeholders, the top ten potential community forestry-based non-timber forest product enterprises with highannual harvestable stock and market demand are prioritized with a cooperative modality.
