The purpose of the article, elaborated with an interdisciplinary approach of the social science disciplines involved (economics, sociology, environmental studies, philosophy, ethics...), is the economic versus ethical paradigms of the environmental approach within a comprehensive system of social work with an interest group of seniors. Through environmentally oriented social work based on the principles of subsidiarity and participation, the search for strengths is on the side of the client and the environment. One of the ways to do this is the possible implementation of social agriculture projects for the interest group of seniors.
