The impact of clusters on the socio-economic development of regions in the Czech Republic

Nowadays, the concept of clustering is a familiar topic, however, it is still a very "young" issue in the Czech Republic. The first project was done in 2002 for the reason of finding the potential of formations of clusters in the Moravian -Silesian region. Since approximately 2007, the concept of development of clusters has been characterized by the intensive involvement of the representatives of the CzechInvest agency and regional representatives. The cluster provides better access to information, better means of communication, support for cooperation and education, opens space for consultancy and lobbying and offers mutual promotion and marketing for Czech companies.Companies increase their efficiency through savings and within the cluster they implement their innovation processes and seek foreign partners.
