Original language description
Cryopreserved fish sperm must be of the highest quality for managed breeding in aquaculture and conservation programs. However, cryopreservation of carp sperm presents some challenges which slowdown applicability of this approach for carp sperm cryobanking. Among these challenges are: intra-species differences of sperm cryoresistance and not enough well elaborated methods for carp sperm cryopreservation. We supposed that heterogeneity of carp sperm cryoresistance arises from differences in spermatozoa membrane composition. The aim of this study was to identify lipid composition of spermatozoa possessing different post-thaw motility parameters.
