Original language description
During contracted research, three days occurrence monitoring of two burble species (Barbus meridionalis and Barbus plebejus) was done in rivers and streams of the basin of the river Po in Northern Italy. During mentioned monitoring and before spawning period, matured broodstock of both species were obtained. Preselected fish were used for hormonal treatment by GnRHa with aim to realize controlled reproduction of both species. After treatment of broodstock, 75 - 85 % females were successfully reproduced and in total 40 000 fertilized eggs were obtained in both species during this cooperation. After optimization of egg incubation, in total 35 000 pcs. of larvae in both species were used for following culture under controlled conditions up to 1 - 5 grams. Fish with reached size were stocked during local restocking program to rivers and streams where broodstock were obtained.
