Rozdíly v hematologických ukazatelích u jeseterů, lišících se úrovní ploidie

  • Original language description

Aquaculture stocks of Acipenser ruthenus, A. gueldenstaedtii, A. baerii consisting of pure evolutionarily tetraploid and/or octaploid specimens and of penta-, hexa- and heptaploid specimens of hypothetically hybrid origin were studied to test their haematological indices for ploidy - specificity. Erythrocyte nuclear sizes and mean corpuscular volume increased and erythrocyte count dropped with increasing ploidy level. These indices might be considered as preliminary indicators of ploidy level. Haematocrit value was significantly higher in tetra- and pentaploids than in specimen of higher ploidy levels. Differences registered in leukocyte count and rate of lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophilic - and/or eosinophilic granulocytes also might indicate a ploidy - specificity of these indices.
