The contemporary necessity of mineral supplementation in cattle is under operating conditions frequently associated with a risk of the undesirable interaction of the calcium excess and utilization of trace elements. An objective of this study was to appreciate a status of trace elements in feces during the excessive intake of calcium and the defined supplementation of trace elements. An observation was carried out in 7 breeds of cattle an the Southbohemian region of the Czech Republic. At all farms werefed mineral mixtures from different producers. In order to ensure saturation of animals with the essentiaol macro and microelements it happened on observed farms that animals were overfed by calcium in range 100 - 256 % of its limit requirement published by Sommer et al. Content of calcium and zinc was assayed after the dry digestion by the atomic absorption spectrometry. Content of iodine was assayed usingmethod of Sandell-Kolthoff modified by Bednář-Röhling.From obtained results it en
